Ondokuz Mayıs University students are the luckiest students of our country in terms of accommodation opportunities.

Accommodation is provided by the dormitories for boys and girls of our university, the Higher Education Credit and Dormitories Institution dormitories, a hotel within the body of our university, and many private dormitories and hostels in Samsun.

In addition, the people of Samsun make it easy for students to rent a house.

In addition to the breakfast and dinner in the dormitories, many cafeterias, dining halls and canteen services are provided within the school for the nutritional problems of our students. In addition, various cafeterias, game hall, market and Student Life Center on an area of 12 thousand m2 are at the service of our students.

The location of our University also provides excellent opportunities for our students to lead a healthier and more social life. In addition to the sea and forest air, our students can find many areas where they can spend their free time, as well as do their sports in the Olympic Swimming Pool and various sports centers. For example, they can contribute to social life by being a member of the student societies established within our University and taking an active role. In addition, the spring festivals held in our school play an important role in helping our students relieve the tiredness and stress of a year and look to the future with confidence as happy individuals.

OMU Central Library provides service 24 hours a day. In addition, rich printed and electronic resources and computers with internet connection allocated for the use of students allow our students to progress on the path of science. Since our university's Central Kurupelit Campus is located on a large area, free busses (ring) facilitate transportation between faculties.

Meals are provided in each Faculty and School building in order to ensure that students have a healthy, correct and inexpensive diet on campuses located in the center and districts of our university.

Alternative nutrition services are also offered to students in canteens, cafeterias and foundation restaurants located on our campuses. In addition, there are many specialty restaurants and cafes in the Student Life Center located on the central campus.

Students whose economic situation is not suitable can benefit from our dining halls free of charge within certain criteria determined by our University. The working hours of our cafeterias are both in I. Education and II. The teaching is organized according to the students.

In addition to transportation to Samsun by road, rail or sea, air transportation is provided by Çarşamba International Airport.

Transportation to the two campuses of our university (Kurupelit and Güzel Sanatlar) in the city is very easy with the Light Rail System (Tramway), minibus and municipal buses. The tram, which comes to the central campus, will soon serve to faculties and dormitories.

Social and cultural activities are as important as scientific studies in the development of our students. Our university hosts many scientists, artists and experts in their fields every year. In addition to OMÜ Atatürk Congress and Culture Center; faculties and colleges also have their own conference and meeting rooms; Events here also continue throughout the year.

Sports activities are carried out in many branches and in the indoor and outdoor sports facilities of our University. At our university; five indoor gymnasiums; four football fields, two of which are carpet and two are grass fields; There are three tennis courts and an Olympic indoor swimming pool. Jumping pool, fitness, strength development hall, fitness center and sauna rooms in the pool complex serve our students, regional athletes and Samsun residents. OMU sports teams successfully represent our university in the country and abroad.

In the living center established on a closed area of 12 thousand square meters; There are many social living areas such as food courts, shopping stores, bus and flight agencies, cinema, copy center, bowling and billiards hall.

Our students can buy the products they like free of charge by showing their ID card.

For students who are new to the university; to provide introductory and enlightening information about the university, the rules and the immediate environment, to help the student get used to the environment and the university; collaborating with relevant institutions to identify and solve students' problems; It provides services to students with emotional problems, such as individual or group psychological counseling.
